Denim, one of the most loved materials
One of the most loved materials, ever, is denim. So let’s start this Sunday off with a style inspo: denim -post! I have always loved denim. I’ve always been a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. Jeans all year ’round, and denim skirts and shorts in the summer. So, here’s a post in honor of the beloved material, denim.

Cool in denim
Denim is a material that adds an instant coolness factor to any outfit, and I think that’s the main reason why it’s so popular. People want to be cool. But it’s not over-the-top cool, like leather f.ex. could feel like, but just the right amount of cool for anyone to wear. And denim is also weared by anyone and everyone, from small kids (even babies are dressed in denim these days) to old people, presidents to homeless people – and so on (you get the point).
Popular denim brands
One of the most popular and most iconic brands of denim is Levi’s. Probably everyone knows what the logo looks like and have owned at least one pair of Levi’s clothing at some point.
Other popular denim brands are Lee, Wrangler Jeans, Diesel Jeans, Pepe Jeans & Frame Denim. Personally I mostly shop my denim (mostly jeans) at Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, H&M and Dr Denim. Especially Tommy Hilfiger has really great jeans that fit my body type perfectly! But when it’s a denim skirt or denim shorts I’m looking for, I mostly shop at Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle – since I really love their casual styles. They’ve always got very comfortable, slightly “used” -looking denim, which I like.
Different colors of denim
When it comes to different colors of denim, blue is definitely the most popular one. Obviously there are a gazillion different shades of denim blue, but the most popular shades are the “mid blue” -shades.
Denim can also come in other colors, like white and black. Personally I really like black denim, but have never really understood white. Maybe it’s the fact that white get so dirty fast?
More than just cool
What I like about denim, besides the coolness factor it gives you (lol), is the fact that it’s such a durable material! Denim can last forever, and it just starts looking better the older it gets (at least in my opinion). There aren’t many other materials that you can say the same about (maybe leather though?), and I definitely think that makes denim an environmentally friendly clothing option.
Are you a denim fan as well?
But hey, what about you – do you share my love for denim? Please tell me in the comment field if you do. I’ve always just thought that “everybody loves denim”, but what if there really is people who don’t? Please do speak up in that case, I’m curious to know why.
Now have a wonderful Sunday everyone ♥
