Yes, as the headline says, I quit my job!
This is what I wrote on Instagram the day after my last workday at Dermoshop:
“Quitting your job is never easy. But it’s definitely harder when you’ve got
the BEST colleagues in the world. And I mean, look at this view ☝🏻 This has been
my office view for a few years now, and I’m probably gonna miss it as much
as my colleagues 💔
But you know what? Every chapter has it’s length. There comes a
time when you have to move on, to test your wings. Life is short, and
when you’re as life hungry, curious and ambitious like myself – you will
at some point feel the need to ”do more” 💪🏻
It’s been a great year so far. I’ve accomplished a lot at work. I’ve travelled
to 7 new countries so far (8th coming up in December) and I also went on my
first ”solo-vacay” in May. But it’s going to become even better ✨
I’m turning 29 in a few weeks and I plan on making the last year in
my twenties the best year ever. This is my time. All the hardships from my
childhood are gone and now it’s time for me to finally start living MY life.
Let’s do this 🙋🏽♀️
Thank you Dermoshop and all my amazing colleagues for building
me up these few years. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️”
I started working at Dermoshop in March 2016. I had been eyeing the company for
a while, waiting for any kind of job opening – and I was so happy when the day finally
came and I saw that they were hiring a Marketing Assistant! Long story short, I applied,
nailed my job interview – and got the job. Wohoo, that was a great day!
That’s now 2 years and 8 months ago. It’s been a hell of a fun ride working at Dermoshop.
I’ve learned so much and grown a lot both personally and professionally. I’ve had the best
colleagues one could ever ask for. I’ve had good bosses, fun work tasks and the opportunity
to travel in work. I’ve evolved from marketing assistant to content & social media manager.
I’ve rambled three different languages in meeting and emails; Swedish, Finnish and English.
I’ve taken our Instagram account from 1500 to 10000 followers. Launched our Pinterest-page.
Launched our Youtube-channel. Grown our Facebook following my 20000. Updated the
webshop thousands of times. Scratched my head in meetings, trying to come up with the
next big campaign. And SO much more. Man, have we had some good times Dermoshop and I.
It has in many ways been a dream job, but still not enough… You see, I’ve always had this
dream of being self-employed, working for myself, building my own brand and business.
And that’s what I’m going to do now! Say hello to Hanna 2.0, or shall we say HANANAA 2.0!
You’re looking at a freshly baked entrepreneur looking to take over the world as a freelancing
marketing consultant! YES, that’s right, it’s happening!
Please, please, please stay tuned! Make sure to check back on my blog regularly
from now on, and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram ♥
