This Summer we were going to go on a 10 day roadtrip to Norway, like we did last year.
We had planned it and anticipated it for a year. Bought a tent, actually booked a few hotels
and so on… We were all set to go and then, BAM, came the day when we were gonna go and
nothing went as planned. Both of our cars were unfit for a 1500 km roadtrip, and there was no
time to start fixing them in the middle of the busiest vacation times.

Then I said “we are leaving, somewhere, anywhere”.  Said and done, I very
spontaneously booked us flights to Zurich (in Switzerland), and well, two days
later we were on a flight to Zurich with no plans.

Things went kind of great though and we had 9 fantastic days roadtrippin’ through Europe.
We visited Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein and had the best time. The weather
was better than we could have hoped for, and everything went smoothly even though we
hadn’t pre-booked any hotels (I booked a new hotel everyday while were driving to the
next location – gotta love the Booking.com app!).

We saw some and spent some time at some really amazing places, like Lake Como, Venice
and the Dolomites. Surely the most spontaneous vacation I’ve ever had, but it was the best,
and I truly recommend anyone to do the same roadtrip we did! Spontaneous or not.

If anyone want to see more pictures, or want to know more about our roadtrip –
